That is me, Ma, and Suz stopping for coffee as we walked home from meeting with cancer specialists at Brigham & Women's hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Center.
We are smiling, because, while Ma is still battling a very rare and difficult to treat form of cancer (mesothelioma), we found out today that she has the most rare form of that very rare cancer. And this particular form of mesothelioma is the slowest to progress. That was news to us. Good news.
We are glad we came down to Boston. It was good to get some good news today.
This is fantastic news!! While I was overjoyed to hear about Suz's wedding my heart sank hearing the news about your Mom. Her spirit and the support that this family gives to one another is going to be nothing but aces for her and her future.
Signed, an old friend from Seattle.
