If it is Monday night and I am in DC - then it must be beginner's yoga class for me!
Tonight we did some stretching poses. I am pretty tight - so stretching can be a challenge. Oooh, hurt so good.
This is a human doing the pigeon pose
According to Yoga Journal, this pose is good for stretching the thighs, groins and psoas (huh?!), abdomen, chest and shoulders, and neck.
Apparently, it also stimulates the abdominal organs and is good for urinary disorders.
Have you ever seen a pigeon with a urinary disorder? I think not! So there you have it!
That cat looks like a fat Miss Kitty...don't you think? Like kind of how Miss Kitty would have looked had Tut had her on the same eating regimen that he has Stachu and Shamis on.
