I have been watching a LOT of MSNBC over the past few months. It is campaign season, after all.
One thing I have noticed is how good Andrea Mitchell looks. I like her political analysis. I like her devotion to Tim Russert. I like her on-air manner.
But man, I like her flawless nip/tuck. She looks fantastic.
Now, as I go on and on about Mitch's lift, I am reminded of one that is more catastrophic - Priscilla Presley.
PP was on Dancing with the Stars last season. I am not exaggerating, but...every time I saw her, I cringed. Her face no longer looked 3 dimensional or truly human. She looked cartoonish.
How can the results of facelifts be sooo radically different?
I think they both look really scary.

As we know from Michael Jackson, results will vary. Some artists are doctors, others butchers.

Have you ever checked out Trudie Styler's mug? Now, that's a piece of work. Like Cher ;)

Fois99: I thought she is married to Alan Greenspan - who could probably use a little nip/tuck himself. :-)

I think it deals with facial muscles and loose skin. Mitchell doesn't have much muscles in her face and perhaps more excess skin? Which for a textbook facelift, it looks really good. PP on the other hand, looks to have more facial muscles and less skin.
Mitchell probably chose to get a lift for her career (I heard her husband is the president or the owner of NBC) and PP looks to enjoy lifting, tucking, stapling (you get my point), an addiction.

Mel: Good points. Another friend mentioned that it could be because Andrea has a more fatty face and Priscilla a more lean one.

Well, I'm hardly an expert on the subject, but I would suspect that it largely has to do with realistic expectations and dealing with surgeons who are willing to direct their patients towards what will look best vs. giving them anything they're willing to pay for.
