Who: With Atul, Michael and others who left work a bit early for a Wednesday matinee.
What: An unlikely but good story about an orphaned muslim kid from the Mumbai slums who makes it onto the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. I was expecting a pure feel-good movie but was surprised by the sometimes graphic portrayal of the boy's existence.
Where: Landmark E Street Theater. DC. Where else?
When: Hump Day. 4:45pm Show.
Why: I am a big fan of India and Indians. I have been wanting to see this movie but waited to see it with Atul - whose birthday is today.
How: Often squirming in my seat. Life is not easy in the slums of Mumbai.
And The Bottom-line:
Go out and see it? Yes. Yes. Yes Good stuff. Powerful.
Wait til it hits Showtime?
Only worth seeing on an airplane?
