Maine has a great tradition of summer theater to cater to all the tourists who flock here fo the good life (from June to September).
Today Jean and I joined my parents, brother, and his wife for a performance of The Drowsy Chaperone at the Maine State Music Theater in Brunswick. That is Jean and I attempting to mimic the show poster outside the theater. Me with a bit more enthusiasm.
I wasn't actually sure about the show as I had never even heard of it. Not that I am an expert on musicals. But I loved it. We all did. It was a lot of fun and I loved the theme of how a musical, or really the arts in general, can transport a person from anywhere to anywhere. We all had big smiles when we left the theater.
Before the show we had ice creams and sat by the statue of Joshua Chamberlain - Maine governor, civil war hero, educator. Here we are...
Sounds like fun. I love the first picture. You should have had Tut be the man in the middle.
