Who: With Jean and Brian.
What: An age-old theme of wanting eternal youth and what some people will do to get it. This play is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's book.
Where: Da Burbs. The Round House Theater in Bethesda.
When: Saturday night. 8pm curtain.
Why: I LOVE LOVE LOVE all things Oscar Wilde. I think i fell for him and his work back in the mid 80s when I read every one of his plays on a train trip from Salzburg to northern Norway.
How: Ehm. Mostly with some discomfort. Bad acting. Bad writing. Some good full frontal nudity though.
And The Bottom-line:
Run out and see it?
Go if you have no other plans and the tickets are free?
Avoid like the plague? Unfortunately yes. I am really disappointed. I so wanted to see and enjoy this play - but it was baaad.
