Today Jean and I seemed to be circling this Volcano, San Pedro, on both land and water. We really enjoyed visiting some of the villages at its base and just boating around on Lake Atitlan. The pic above is us in front of Pedro while we were in Santiago.
Tomorrow we will take on San Pedro directly and actually climb to the top!

Nature...
Nothing more natural than a dog sleeping away the day. Especially here. There are stray dogs everywhere - but they are the best-mannered ones I have ever seen.
Beauty...
As Madonna says - "Beauty is where you find it". This morning Jean and I found it in these plump (german?) pancakes. They were sooo good. We are going back for more on Thursday.
Fun...
You know this is gonna be fun. The expression on Jean's face says it all. His first Tuk-Tuk ride. The driver seems to have a different expression.
Spirit...
Even though all you see is their backs, you can feel the spirit. I love the orderliness, color, and positions of these Mayan women (and one backpacking guy) in a chapel in Santiago Atitlan.

I am really captivated by the Mayan women. This was one of many washing laundry on the rocks in the lake this morning. The traditional boats carved from whole cypress trees are also cool.
