Jean and I left Salvador de Bahia for a small, remote island not that far away but also not that easy to get to. The pic above shows the view of the city as we were leaving. We took a ferry to a waiting car which drove us to a waiting speedboat that got us to the island. The trip took about 4 hours. The last leg was beautiful. Lush green on both banks of a river that leads to the sea and this island. The final destination, Boipepa, is definitely worth the journey. The wonderful slow pace and quiet of Boipepa is a nice follow-up to the energy and exhaustion of Salvador (thanks, Mark!) over the past few days. We are looking forward to exploring and relaxing here,
