Today was our last full day out in the bushlands of KwaZulu-Natal. The snap above is of us in the Windfall Cottage, our honeymoon suite at the Emdoneni lodge. We were toasting an amazing few days.
Before the toast, we started today on a river cruise up the St. Lucia Estuary - one of the largest in Africa. In the afternoon we had a tour of the cat rehab center at our lodge. Learned a lot and got close to different breeds of native cats
And here are my Five Favorite Fotos from day 9 of our first trip to Africa...
Nature...
Lots of hippo sightings this morning while cruising up the river.
Beauty...
Dusty and Jew - cheetah brothers at the lodge and outside our cottage. That is our car and cottage behind them.
Fun...
Justin, holding the cat's head, gave us the tour of the rehab center. He also took us into and guided us through the park yesterday.
Spirit...
An African wild cat up in a tree at the rehab center. He looks like a domestic cat, but isn't.
Just liked it...
Market in Saint Lucia, in the wetlands.
