We were up early and out the door and exploring. Jean knows that I love urban green spaces and so found and took me to an amazing one - Rikugi-en. The pic above is of the two of us on the high point in the park. Rikugi-en was built in the early 1700s to represent some famous Chinese poems and literature - with 88 vistas around the park. This morning there was a gentle drizzle that made an already sumptuous park even more romantic. I love it.
After the park, we opted for some more interaction with the people of the city and roamed around the Kagurazaka neighborhood. Did some shopping. Some eating. Some people watching. A perfect way to get to know a tiny corner of this enormous city.
And here are my Five Favorite Fotos from day 2 of our trip together in Japan...
Nature...
The moss looked so green and so lush I wanted to roll around in it.
Beauty...
Boys snapping pics of coy and a woman promenading across a perfect span across the still waters. Like a painting.
Fun...
No idea. World's shortest pride parade?
Spirit...
Remembrances at a very cool modern shrine in Kagurazaka.
Just liked it...
Making Japanese-style sweets in a very old shop.
